On March 26, 2010 our class went to the exhibition "Green Life" at the Triennale di Milano. It
an exhibition to the public of potential "engines of change": young people with the desire to be world citizens, professionals, planners, engineers or entrepreneurs with a vision sensitive to the preservation of our environment.
An exhibition is also able to talk to ordinary people seeking solutions to do just an eco-friendly lifestyle.
A show that knows how to encourage planners and designers of today, producers of innovative materials and systems, the private and public customers, policy makers, places of training know-how.
With 'Green Life' is to show that we can build sustainable cities in terms of environment, by showing practical examples that can serve as a model for our country.
The exhibition
During the visit they were shown the various design criteria and construction of environmentally sustainable buildings by using pictures, models or samples of materials.
Among the projects presented, those who have been involved and encouraged more:
Solar City in Linz (Austria);
Museum of Natural Sciences in San Francisco, designed by Renzo Piano;
Expo 2000 in Hanover.
Linz
a Solar City Linz, the capital city of Upper Austria, has appointed Thomas Herzog to design a new urban settlement for about 25,000 inhabitants.
This new district was created making the most of solar energy through new technology and plant engineering. It was also reconsidered the life of the new community that would have stayed here, creating new spaces, inspired by a new lifestyle.
The Natural Science Museum of San Francisco
damaged by the earthquake of 1989, the museum has been redesigned by architect Renzo Piano.
The strengths of this structure lie in the materials used for construction (80% of the metal used is recycled).

The very few elements in wood were made from recycled materials.

We interviewed the construction engineer Alessandro Panzeri, which collaborated on "CasaKyoto.
Where is it? It
Gavirate located in the province of Varese, and more precisely at the location of Oltrona Lake, in Union 23.
When was the project?
The project started in 1991.
When it was finally realized?
in 2009.
Who are the originators?
The inventor was an engineer and designer Sergio Mammi (who was in charge of energy conservation since 1984, the year of foundation dell'ANIT, National Association for the thermal and acoustic insulation, owner since 1991 of the study design 'CasaKyoto).
How long was made the project?
The project was carried out in 12 months.
Compared to a standard population structure, it is possible to quantify benefits and savings?
Yes, thanks to the 10 steps' CasaKyoto "you can get a warm and quiet, take him out cold, mold, over-consumption and noise.
the possible combination of access to deductions of 55% for expenses and to pick up the energy class of their own homes to make 10 moves from a value especially economically.
You can now exploit this by assigning an energy class issued by an accredited expert.

Today it is possible, thanks to tax incentives, associated with maintenance or refurbishments, energy saving measures which, when properly designed, can make sound and heat the house more comfortable, as well as improve air quality by freeing indoor pollutants and ultimately mitigate the summer heat.
Given the technology involved in the management of the plants, how much maintenance of a house like this?
maintenance costs at the time were not noted, since the house was completed only a year and had no need of particular interventions. Although the items in a similar structure may seem complex and costly, in reality can be compared to a standard house.
In what contexts can be taken similar decisions?

Our class, the Fourth, Section A, Isis 'Newton' of Varese, the address of the Technical energy systems, 22 to 27 March 2010 will be involved in the project "Learning Week.
The purpose of this project is to acquire technical and operational expertise in energy conservation applied to residential applications.
During this week the class will be divided into groups.
Each group was given a different task:
the A group will be responsible for processing and assembly;
the group B communication and documentation;
the group C wiring installation;
the Group D design.
At the end of this experience all the activities will be documented in this blog and the end result (namely the creation of a solar panel to recharge the battery of an electric bike) will be on display during the event "Solar Day" which will take place, as every years at our institution.
