Tour "Kyoto house", Mar. 22, 2010: interview
Interview conducted by William Mangano and Fernando José Rivera Ruiz
We interviewed the construction engineer Alessandro Panzeri, which collaborated on "CasaKyoto.
Where is it? It
Gavirate located in the province of Varese, and more precisely at the location of Oltrona Lake, in Union 23.
When was the project?
The project started in 1991.
When it was finally realized?
in 2009.
Who are the originators?
The inventor was an engineer and designer Sergio Mammi (who was in charge of energy conservation since 1984, the year of foundation dell'ANIT, National Association for the thermal and acoustic insulation, owner since 1991 of the study design 'CasaKyoto).
How long was made the project?
The project was carried out in 12 months.
Compared to a standard population structure, it is possible to quantify benefits and savings?
Yes, thanks to the 10 steps' CasaKyoto "you can get a warm and quiet, take him out cold, mold, over-consumption and noise.
the possible combination of access to deductions of 55% for expenses and to pick up the energy class of their own homes to make 10 moves from a value especially economically.
You can now exploit this by assigning an energy class issued by an accredited expert.
The existing work on construction can reduce fossil energy consumption by 30% to 95%.
This is of course operate in an integrated manner, and wrapping the plant. Move towards high savings involves high investment, but if associated with normal work of recovery, maintenance and modification can be reduced considerably. Moreover, considering the rising cost of fuel is intended to consolidate in the future, we can expect a very favorable economic returns for investments in energy saving.
There are incentives for interventions of this kind?
Yes, the government has launched some very interesting steps towards achieving Kyoto targets: tax incentives for interventions on building existing law 311 on renovations and new construction, white certificates, energy certification of new and existing buildings.
Today it is possible, thanks to tax incentives, associated with maintenance or refurbishments, energy saving measures which, when properly designed, can make sound and heat the house more comfortable, as well as improve air quality by freeing indoor pollutants and ultimately mitigate the summer heat.
Given the technology involved in the management of the plants, how much maintenance of a house like this?
maintenance costs at the time were not noted, since the house was completed only a year and had no need of particular interventions. Although the items in a similar structure may seem complex and costly, in reality can be compared to a standard house.
In what contexts can be taken similar decisions?
The more the home is inefficient, the more easy and cost-effective improvements and every move has its share of savings, so any move can guarantee a saving both in terms of energy consumption and pollutant emissions.
All buildings would also benefit through tax incentives. The proposals 'CasaKyoto' may be taken in any context.
might suggest some good practices to be introduced into our homes "traditional"?
All problems concerning the existing buildings, can be solved through the 10 steps 'CasaKyoto' means the 10 actions for transforming the existing building in a low-energy efficient house.
There is an energy exchange with the main network?
Yes, in Italy the law on "energy bill" provides that the energy produced by the photovoltaic system is never stored, that is, entering fully into the main network, then levied in relation to the energy needs of the house. With regard to the expenditure if the budget is positive there are no extra costs, otherwise the cost is relative to the difference between energy input and energy charged.
What are the weaknesses of a project like this?
weaknesses have emerged both from the energetic point of view, both in terms of construction.
In terms of energy inefficiency was found in the plant ventilation, because, for the wrong setting, inhaled too much air from the outside, the house was in depression and then there were some anomalies in the heat.
Another inefficiency in the system energy detected was the lack of correction of all thermal bridges.
From the perspective of the construction area of \u200b\u200bweakness was found during installation of the insulating coat, which led to the abnormal entry of water into the basement, then had to intervene by drainage through the construction of a Cordolino.

Tabula Rasa
E 'success during a conference, or better, a rumor, like many a Tuesday, the library Coop Ambassadors in Bologna. There was talk of families homeless, most nomads (but not only) ... interventions were interesting, people who really had done and was doing something on the field, and not the usual chatter. The evening could very well end like this: thoughts and actions real and intelligent, with the desire and the curiosity to continue, and a thin and now familiar observation tough times in which we live. Here, I would have been enough, I was already satisfied, and instead, most recently, there has been a priest, Don Giovanni Nicolini, a priest who began by saying he continues to marvel at the slow processing of thought, a strange phrase to throw in there early speech, the man is best explained, says he bought the newspaper "The Daily Done" and had to read that in Italy, democracy is at risk, and trying once again wonder, "But why risk it?" Why even risk? We risked everything there was to take risks, and we are now a fact of life: a dictatorship, by way of improvement, but this is it!
And here peeps our slow processing ... and man, the priest asks clarity of thought (he called her a strong idea, but they are still slow to be able to enter my vocabulary STRONG IDEA), a clarity that leads to change the horizon in which we lay our lives beautifully, our everyday life: instead of being stunned by the change should be change, it is this uncertainty that we wallow in which we play the game. I realize that many have started to pursue this idea, for me it happened with the priest, that man, those words and that voice, a light bulb came on over that in mind, the will, let's say I gave a good reason, a good reason, a simple way to make sense of real and concrete actions every day ... and then, that resistance is!
